In the 28th edition of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list, Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s CEO, Fran Horowitz, is recognized for the second year in a row as one of the top female business leaders in the world. While the list has always been data-driven, with executives chosen based on the size and health of their businesses or P&Ls, Fortune shared that this year it is even more so, with a more complex methodology giving an edge to CEOs.
In this year’s list, Fran is acknowledged as the driving force behind “one of the most dramatic retail comebacks ever,” following her leadership and direction to revive both the Abercrombie and Hollister brands and deliver the company’s highest annual sales revenue ever of nearly $5 billion in 2024.
